Plans for a four building Agriculture and Life Sciences (AGLS) Complex began in 2005 with three of the four being completed in 2011: The Agriculture and Life Sciences Building (AGLS-168,353 gsf); the AgriLife Center (AGCT-12,929 gsf); and the AgriLife Services Building (AGSV- 80,907 gsf). A fourth building will be developed in the future.
The AGLS complex is the statewide headquarters for two AgriLife agencies, the Vice Chancellor’s office, three academic departments and the Dean’s office for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Additionally, the complex brings the AgriLife service divisions (Administrative Services, Communications and Information Technology) together in a central location on west campus.
